About the Event
or the past two years, the world has endured loneliness through the pandemic. More than ever, it’s essential to bring light into people’s lives.
Harlem is a historical neighborhood where Africans, African Americans, and everyone from across the globe live side by side. While it is still trending as a fun place to go, Harlem has been labeled as inaccessible or unsavory for decades. It’s time for a change.
Our goal is to have ALL of New York experience Harlem’s culture, beauty, diversity, LOVE and community through the healing power of music.
We’re staging a FREE concert of powerful music and delivering a warm invitation to join us for:
“Harlem Meet Africa” featuring Natu Camara and her exciting Afro-Rock and soul band.
Joining Natu will be THE WAITERS OF HAPPYNESS, the popular Harlem Funk and R&B dance band, along with the HARLEM DRUM LINE, led by Master Drummer Mamadou from Burkina Faso. Also bringing joy to this festive event will be professional drummers and percussionists from
Guinea, Senegal, Mali and Burkina Faso, local school dance groups and several talented artists representing the soul of Africa and Harlem. This is a home grown event entirly self funded so we need help to fund it. We want to keep the show free for all in the New York Area.
