Thank you to all the friends who came out last Saturday to witness something remarkable. And thanks to our friends at globalFEST and Lincoln Center who made it happen. The weather was perfect. The crowd was extactic.
It’s been a while since Natu Camara appeared on the globalFEST radar: back when we were all stuck at home during the pandemic. Tiny Desk and globalFEST teamed up to make music happen virtually. Natu was deeply saddened that she couldn’t perform live so she did it anyway, seated behind a desk.
That performance has since been viewed thousands of times. And globalFEST never forgot. They were determined to get her on her feet and onto a beautiful stage at Lincoln Center.
